my 60gb refurb arrived today stuck in game and it keeps on freezing has this happened to anybody with a refurb

I would call Sony back immediately and calmly (but firmly) explain the situation and have them send you an almost brand new 60gb replacement. I am sure they will be compliant and very apologetic to your situation.

I beleive they have a 30 day warranty on the refurbished units.

Depends on if it is the earlier 80gb model. Then all he would lose is a small percentage of PS2 BC.
