Sorry guys if this is a repetitive topic but I've tried a lot of different things and nothing seems to work...

I've had this Xbox 360 with ms28 drive for about a year now... as a noob the first flash I did on it was with a xtreme5.2c and I was able to play and I would back up games with XBC 2.5.

I stopped using it in mid September the ban hammer passed and then I figured I should be flashing it (jan 2009) with the latest 1.5 ixtreme fw.

The flash went as planned and I was able to play my back up games online etc...
Now I'm trying to do another back up. The dvd is recognized in windows (after power up with half out tray) and it is recognized in XBC... but the f...in Start button in the "read" TAB remains Grey all the time.. + the bytes used line is ALWAYS at 5.32MB.

I've tried the "unlock drive" but XBC 2.8 tells me "the drive seems to be unlocked already". I'm using a VIA VT6421 card (that worked perfectly in the pass with XBC)

Does anybody have any suggestion on where I should be looking at ? Is it a bad flash ? a bad Via Card ? bad XBC (wich I uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times) .. any suggestion would help !

to use your ms28 to read/copy games to your computers HD, it needs to be flashed with the 0800 FW. and then once you have read/copied the game, you will have to reflash it back to iextreme 1.5 in order for it to play the games in your console.
