Hey guys/gals.

I recently bought a wii. It had the homebrew channel allready installed.

I was too dumb and installed the newest wii system update and now it is at 3.4U.

My questions:

In order to play just backups, do I need to downgrade?

If the answer to the Q above is no, I just install the latest cIOS and the Gamma Launcher 0.3 right?

Here is the file I have:

This includes the files needed to put on my sd card and install through homebrew channel, right?

Sorry forgot to say.

Homebrew channel is still installed and still works great (starts up, but since I don't have sd card I couldn't test yet).

Since you updated to 3.4 firmware the system now has a limitation on it. It will no longer install WAD or cIOS files. You need to install a cIOS so the backup launcher can work properly.

Don't worry all is not lost.

Go HERE and follow this simple guide. Make sure you follow the link I have at the beginning of the guide to fix the limitation 3.4 places on the system. Then come back to the guide to install the cIOS and boot loader.

i am really n00b. can you use dummy language?

You need to patch the 3.4 firmware in order to install the cIOS that is needed for the backup loader to work.

Can't dumb it down any more then that.

Read the guide I linked to word for word. It isn't that hard even for a noob. Just follow the directions.
