i had a cfw 3.71 m33 and everything worked great. I could run games and irshell and all sorts of homebrew (and i got it like that from the guy i bought it from, so i don't know if it is a pandora battery or mms). the problem is that i upgraded to 5.00 m33 and i can now just run irshell, no games no nothing. I tryed placing the 5.00 m33 kernel addon and my psp doesn't show it in the memory stick menu like it used to in 3.71. Can i get this 5.00 m33 to run games like in the 3.71. if not how can i back it up to 3.71 again?
NOTE:when i search the irshell for my psp folder on the root of the memory stick it doesn't show anything, but there are folders like GAME, SYSTEM etc. and also my game folder homebrew in the recovery menu is set to 5.xx kernel...PLEASE HELP

ok changed my mind, i just need to downgrade to 3.71 m33 but i can't use any programs except irshell! i put every program that worked for me before and it doesn't show. OH and on the 3.71 it used to show icon under the games but it doesn't show it now...

Try going into the recovery menu (turn the ps right off and then turn on whilst holding R button).

Check that it is set to NO umd with either the Sony or M33 driver.

no tryed that and doesn't work, my problem is that i now can't run any homebrew everything i put in PSP/GAME/ doesn't show in memory stick but is there...

Hmm - I would guess the Homebrew isn't compatible with newer firmware.

Try downgrading back to 3.71m33? And then upgrade in steps to see when problems begin? Or just stay on good ol' 3.71m33 where every day is sunny! ;-)

thats the problem i want to go 3.71 but it wont show me the update icon anymore nor can i run a downgrader. i need some kind of override...wait do i need magic memory stick tool to show all my files under the memory stick???

Downgarding is not as straight forward as upgrading.

To upgrade you just need to drop the update into your GAME folder - simple.

I still think the best way to downgrade is with pandora and a mms, but try googling Hellcat's Flasher - it'll take you back to 3.71m33 in theory.

i solved the problem used magic memory stick tool and now everything is working, i coudn't run anythiing till i "magiciesed" my memory stick...thanx anyway
