Hi there,

I'm sorry if this question has been asked a number of times. I've had a look around on this and other forums for the answer, but everything I've tried doesn't seem to work.

My Star View box was working fine last week, but when I came to switch it on yesterday, the channels weren't there. I presumed that if I got the latest keys it would bring my channels back.

After inputting the keys and scanning, I got all the channels back, but unfortunately the channels with the dollar signs won't work. When you click on a dollar channel it says 'data is being updated' and then gets to 130% and just hangs there and won't go any further. If I try to go up to the next channel or access the menu, I just get a blank screen.

The keys have been entered correctly and I have made sure that the Key EMU is switched on and the Default key has been set.

I don't know what Star View box I have, but the system information gives me this:

STAR VIEW
API ver : 2.57e_E
Boot ver : 7.0
16. Aug. 2006

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

double check the codes you inputted make sure you get correct code for which area you in, your box should update if you have new firmware check the sticky posts it will show how to do this and will also let you know which box you have if all else fails take it back to the guy in the pub you bought it from ;) and tell him to put latest firmware on for you

Thanks for your help guys.

Unfortunately, it still isn't working. I left it updating on a random channel for about an hour and it got to 260% and wouldn't go any further. I then did a factory reset, scanned again and left it on ss1 for about an hour and it only got to 30%.

I'll look into uploading the firmware and will follow the information from the link provided by superbaby.

Hopefully I'll get it sorted soon.

TwistedT - Put this latest fix on your box, you don't say whether you box is a clone or genuine, this contains the fixes for the genuine Core400.bin, and the clone Core257.bin, so if you are in any doubt then use the Core257.bin it will work on either of the boxes safely, and it will UA for you okay. >>>>>>>
