When I say modded, I mean where you open the battery and snip it.

Thanks in advance.

IPL? Explain, I'm sorta noob to all of this.

Also, will I be able to keep use the MMS as a regular Memory Stick while I'm not downgrading and such? Or will I need to use another memory stick?

IPL is a set of files that go onto the memory stick call ms multiloader that just allows you to load the psp with the pandora battery as normal or with several despertar cementario's assigned to multiple keys in case you want to switch firmwares without using time machine, if your on windows xp you can download psp pandora deluxe 3.1 in my signature

and yea you can use your mms as a normal memory stick too
