I was wondering if anyone knows if you can upgrade the twilight hack by just reloading the new hack straight over the top of the old hack.
The reason I ask is I have loaded up the hack and have the hbc installed but when I try a backup disk I get a "no disk ID" error. I have had someone else try the backup in their machine and it works fine so suspect I may have installed the wrong version of the hack as my wii is firmware 3.3. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Yes, copying a new version of the twilight hack will replace the one you currently have.
No, that wont do anything though.
You see, the twilight hack is a modified zelda save file. The wii sees it as a normal zelda save file. It only runs when theres a zelda game inserted in the console. You can actually delete the hack once you have the homebrew channel installed. If you were successful in installing the HBC then you used the right version of the hack.

penguin,
We could use you over at edited by ddp for some information. Seems like a good site. News, guides, etc.
If I have used the right version of the hack then what would cause the no disk id error when I try the backup in the wii, could it be the wrong version of the disk loader program. Lots of thanks for the help so far.
I thought that firmware 3.3 stopped the backups from be recognized so if I had installed the wrong version of the zelda hack then the hbc would install be the disk would not read.
