I doubt it's the media because it's my Verbatims DataLifePlus made in Taiwan.

It could be your burn speed. I burn all my backups with Verbatim DVD-R media at 4x with ImgBurn. All work fine.

How about:

1)Bad burn (DVD writer)
2)Bad .iso
3)Bad mod

You didn't say whether this is a newly modded system, how it was modded, and whether or not you have EVER successfully burned a backup.
