But I have a small problem that is actualy turning out to be a big one,the ribbon that holds the laser to the pcb was torn in my disk drive,and need a replacement ribbon what I am wondering is will a new ribbon set come with this laser?
Or do you know of any place I can buy a replacement ribbon for a benq?
Also I was told that I could use any ribbon that is the same size is this true?
to answer your question of if the new laser will come with a ribbon, i highly doubt it. that last time i bought a laser, it was just the laser itself.
as to where to buy the ribbon, umm... i found two on ebay, one for samsung, the other for a hitachi. they were both 5.99, just search for xbox 360 laser ribbon.
also, you might want to get that laser from else where, 28 bucks is a ripoff. you can get that on ebay for much less (where i got mine from and worked fine.) found some on there for about 10-17 bucks.
