im having difficulty when burning some games.
i have the DL dvd's and the burner, i have successfully burned games but when i download a file that isnt compressed or ultra compressed i cannot get it to extract or do whatever i have to do in order to burn.
also..how do i get something like this to an .iso to burn....plz help
when i click it it doesnt launch.
even with other files like that..it says compressed..then newsleecher dl's it..but i click it and nothing happens.
how do i uncompress or whatever i need to do?
when i dl games with par2 files and i repair them, it automatically makes a folder and inside of it is the .dvd file and the .iso, and then i can burn easily.
in the 2nd picture i downloaded the madden nig file... but it doesnt have any par2 files so i cant get an .iso file out of it..but i have 6. somthing gigs downloaded but cant do anything with it.
par2 files are files that come with .rar files if an .rar file is corrupt the par2's are like workers and they will put their heads together to repair the corrupt .rar file, corrupt files are normal, typically it is either your hosting service, or the uploader messed up. alot of .par2 programs are set so that after you double click or right click on them, they will check and see if the .rar's need to be repaired, if they do they will repair them then extract[b] them, if they dont need repairing, they will just [b]extract them. extracting is the term for uncompressing a file. so if your .rar files are not corrupted, then you just simply right click on one of the files and click extract, or extract here, or whatever. if it is corrupted it will not extract, and you will need to either get .par2 files to reapir the download, or re-download the whole thing. the program you use to extract those compressed files is winrar which by the looks of this you already have. hence the term "rar" or ".rar" the name of the program of the .par or .par2 files is commonly known as quickpar, there are other ones, but this is the most popular one. get very familer with these two programs, as they are a modder, and especially a pc users best friend.
the last thing i want to know is when i download an .exe file that is like 72kb tht says it is ultra compressed or compressed and i try to uncompress or extract..nothing happens. is there something else i need to be doing to get all the files out of the download?
