I know that lots of ppl have done this, but i cant get my pc to recognise it. It picks it up in the CMOS but not in windows. i am assuming that i need the drivers??
Where does your drive get its power and how did you connect it to your PC?
By the way, it's pretty easy and not too expensive getting a Samsung SH-D162 drive, they are like 10 Euros at ebay. Putting Kreon firmware on such a drive isn't too hard either.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

well i was thinking of using a y-split sata cable so i wouldnt have to take it apart. but what is a 0800? when i flashed the drive all i did was plug it in directly to my motherboard and flash. no extra card nothing. so im thinking maybe it could pick the drive up as a sata dvd rom...but it doesnt. maybe i need drivers?
anyone who has successfully got xp to read the drive?
0800 is specific firmware to backup games. so if u flashed with ixtreme 1.5 to play games u will need to flash to 0800 to backup a game and then flash backto 1.5 to play games again.= hassle. better to have kreon drive or 360 drive separate from 360 to use.
