I have a problem, so PLEASE, PLEASE help me, this means SO much to me!
Here we go:
ok the main idea is for me to get Final Fantasy ix on psp now i have the final fantasy files, only thing the psp says that the copyright is invalid and blah blah
the place where i downloaded it said that it works on cfw 3.71
which is the first problem, i have slim and lite, and 5.03 OFW
so it doesnt work, so i tryed to download a CFW 3.71 and when it starst the error code (80020148) appears
so my question is: can i fix it somehow(its slim and lite so the 1.50 kernel doesnt work, right?) that i can install 3.71, is a 3.71 uninstallable for me? Must i do something else to get the game? will a CFW 5.03 ever come?
what do i need to do, cuz i JUST want to play FFIX on psp
Well, my question to you is first.
Is it a slim 2000? and did it come with teh OFW 5.03? or did you upgrade your ofw to be 5.03? Because if it came with the ofw 5.03 then it's most likely you can't hack your psp.
However if it came with something below 4, then you're in the clear. Or so it's said.
(If hackable)
First thing you are going to need is a pandora battery. You can buy one online, or you can make one yourself. However if you don't feel safe enough to mess around with your battery i suggest you buy one.
Next thing you need is a MMS (magic memory stick)And xp on your computer.
To create one, you can just download the "Totalnewbie Easyinstaller"
As the name says it's easy to install. It just formats and add files to your memory stick in the psp. (if you have anything on it i suggest making a backup)
The installer will tell you everything you need to do.
So when you've got pandora and a mms, you insert your mms into the psp if you didn't have it in allready. Then you put in the pandora battery. If it all works out you should see a green light to the right. Press "X" and wait for it to turn off. Then you turn your pandora into a normal battery. And you've got 3.71 m33 cfw.
ok you say you just bought the psp was this new or off someone? also just to be 100% sure go into your system settings system info and look at the firmware. in bold above ^^^^that's the reason i am asking
