Don't be worrying you won't lose your channels, just do a Factory Reset and a fresh Installation and Automatic Scan on your correct provider and you will get them all back. As regards to how do you Manual Scan, well during Installation you get the option to Automatic or Manual Scan, if you choose Manual Scan then you will need to go down and Enable the Network Scan before pressing OK to commence the Scan, (You can try this if you wish, it will do no harm) - But if you happen to know a particular frequency that you know and you have lost the channel, then another option for Manual Scan on the ONE Frequency is to go from the affected channel, for example Se*a*ta 1 is 259.000 MHz frequency in NW/UK, so from there you would simply press Menu, OK on Installation, (your provider will appear at the right top corner) go down to Manual Scan OK, and the frequency 259.000 will appear in Down Frequency, you just then press OK and it will then Scan on that ONE frequency. (You can also enter the frequency manually via remote if you wish) - So if you post your correct location then someone could possibly provide the Frequencies that you require and you could then Scan the individual Frequencies, (To enter a frequency into Down Frequency, just type via remote keypad the Frequency number direct i.e. do not enter the dot it will appear automatically) Hope you are a little wiser now lol, but as said - don't worry about losing your channels it needs to be done now and again anyway.

You will have to state exactly what area you are in - you have said that you are in UK and then said N/Ireland, which is it, and whereabouts? it's the only way you can be informed of an individual frequency.
