SD card, what files/folders can be deleted once hack installed?

I can't seem to find the answer using the search function...

I've installed HBC and the Wiigator wad. I don't need the SD card in the slot to run backups. But I've recently started trying out VC games, and while I was putting the files on the card I noticed there's a lot of crap on it. What has to be left on it to be able to open up Wad Manager via the HBC and install VC game wads? Thanks!

All you need is...

apps folder with WAD manger in that folder to boot via HBC (there is a WAD file to install WAD Manger as a channel so you don't have to boot it via HBC).

wad folder to place the VC/WiiWare wad files in.

I have been doing a few zelda softmods for friends and leaving the 256meg sd cards in the wiis, if all they want to do is play their backups can i remove the sd card (so they cant "experiment") and all will still work ok?

If all they want to do is play backups then you have to install the WiiGator wad so it creates a channel for it. Then you can remove the SD card.

thanks for that, i didnt even have time to go and make a cup of tea,
I think ill be taking the sd cards out to be safe. Incidentaly I normaly load up 2 different boot loaders just incase there are issues with one of them
