As I told you in your other thread "you can keep using all your homebrew and backup games even on 3.4 and online"

And the easiest way to get the opera browser is to download a wad of it and install that with the wad installer on the homebrew channel.

@Penguin98 is this true? I asked this a couple months ago (about updating to 3.4U from 3.2U) I read that some Trucha? signed discs wouldn't work, homebrew apps and GCOS apps wouldn't work anymore if I updated. I want to access the internet to stream movies from my home network, but I'm scared of updating to 3.4.
I have a D2Ckey, 3.2U any additional advice/info would be appreciated.

Here was one of my previous unanswered threads:

Thanks

Firmware 3.3 blocked trucha-signed disks, and firmware 3.4 blocked some homebrew from running, such as the wad installer and firmware downgrader.

Trucha disks can still be run though if you boot them through gecko OS, and all homebrew function can be restored by installing IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad (with a custom wad installer) on a 3.4 wii. GCOS disks have never been effected by updates, and likely never will since from what I understand the wii updates cant effect things running in GC mode.

Edit: (Just read your other thread) No update has ever effected the function of any modchip. Even the oldest modchips still work just fine on the newest firmwares. There's no chance of a proper region update bricking the wii just because you have a modchip installed.

The only way you can have a problem is if you let an out-of-region game run an update on your wii. Still though, even doing that will rarely brick the wii, generally it just results in a semi-brick. Meaning that games still play just fine but online functions will not work and the wii settings menu is inaccessible.

yea...as said above, updating your wii causes problems, the easiest way is to install WAD manager and then find the internet channel WAD and install it that way.
I know you can find it in this torrent
http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4517064/...Wads_-_UNZIPPED
you don't have to download them all, just select Internet_Channel.wad
