i am far from interested in these phones most of the time,
but this thing sounds like a be-all-end-all mobile device.

archos is the sht. i bought an av500 over 5 years ago and the thing is still pretty amazing. i will admit ive had 2 of them break on me, but their cs was top notch replacing both of them, even though they were slightly out of warranty. my current one is still working strong.

i would love to see them make a phone, this is one of my favorite companies alongside google and sansa.

500GB of video storage, 7 hours of battery life for video, and a continued ability to record video from any source. Internet access should be fast with HSPA providing 7.2Mbps downstream speeds.
this is going to be insanely expensive.

if they can make the cost comparable to current high-end phones,
the thing might be the first one actually worth the asking price.

Really nice looking phone and if it could load the Internet fast enough it would be worth it for me but with TMobile right now and I only get Edge so Internet is worthless for what I would try and do. Hopefully a phone company can deliver those speeds uncapped...

sure the 500GB is amazing and i dont doubt that. but what would make this phone perfect is if they manage to overcome the browser flash problems. i want to be able to vierw youtube and even play silly facebook flashgames if i get the urge..and thats sumthing no phone could yet provide me completely..its been a few years and the smartphone market has evolved rapidly..but still no true flash support and i ask adobe and whoever may supply the solution..for how long??(yes i have read the article here a few weeks back about flash for WM but its still not operational..)

Flash for mobile is definantly an issue that ALL mobiles are having to deal with. Even Iphone has problems with this.
The problem is that we, as users, want full desktop functionality in our web, even when using a diminutive device.
If it's not Flash then it's Silverlight or Active X or some other web technology. The problem is that handheld browsers tend not to allow addons and such so the installed browsers are out of date the day they ship.
I'm with you on the Flash issue, but even if you had flash there would still be limitations that would make the handheld browsing somewhat different.
