Hi all,

Got my 360 back for the 2nd time in 2 years by Microsoft.

First time it went was a drive fault so they replaced it.

This time they were saying it was a drive and a motherboard fault so they replaced both.

What i was wondering was would anyone have an idea if they will have replaced it with the new "Jasper" board, because the letter didnt give much detail.

Thanks

Wouldn't the Jasper mobo require the new revision power brick too? If so, it doesn't seem likely that they're using brand new jaspers for repairs of old consoles.

no the new consoles can run on old power supply cause the power distribution board in the console can step down the power available and only use what is needed, this was done by design and they would not send u a console if they knew u had a incompatible power supply. old consoles cannot use new power supply cause they do not provide enough power as the older ones run somewhere like 203w and newer ones 175w...thats not specific there is a model between those i think

Cool, thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure which way the compatibility went for bricks, forwards or back.

Doesnt look like the picture.

The power point is black so im guessing its not a Jasper board.

Thanks
