PSP freezes when playing games from other countries

Hi there, I'm having a problem with my psp. My psp(fat) is currently 5.00 m33-4.. when i'm playing games that is in other languages like dissidia final fantasy, bleach, or dj max .. after a while of playing or maybe just in minutes..the psp just freezes and then it completely shuts down.. can anyone tell me wads the problem with it? my only guess is that my psp is having problems because its old, or maybe there is a problem in reading the memory stick?

I had a similar problem, I believe you can go into your custom firmware setup mode and select all region play or something like that... Lots of stuff in there, you might get familiar with it
