Hi, I was taking apart my wii to check the chipset, I had the drive aside but still plugged in. I took my screwdriver to push in the button for the power, and I guess I touched the frame and grouded it. It sparked and now it will not turn on. The Red light does not even turn on. No noise, no lights.


Is there a simple fuse to check/replace? Or am I screwed?

I know there are fuses on the DVD drive that can be bridged if blown, but I dont know about on the wii motherboard. Which, from your description of the problem, sounds like its likely the part thats shorted out.

this happened to me too, and i thought i was screwed, but somehow I tried a week later and it worked. lol, I hope your as lucky.
