I would love names to be disclosed in headlines. "US senator Diane Feinstein tries to silp ISP copyright enforcement into stimulus bill" or "Californian senator Frankenstein's monster wants to control you." Don't laugh, I'm not being facetious. I live in SoCal. She is horrible and is at the root of all evil when protecting the scumbag big business buttheads who are sucking off the hardworking people of the U.S. in getting their golden parachutes and big time bailouts from the gov. All our children and grandchildren are going to support their plush, luxuorios lifestyle. How long until "Bastille Day?" We Americans used to take pride in helping free France in WWII. Many people here even regarded the French as "soft" and "easy to fold and give in". We were pompous and arrogant. Truly "ugly Americans." If only the populace here could live up to what the French are now. you see the workers there and unions in France fighting for their rights and freedoms. When is the last time we in the U.S.A. have seen this? Freedom and liberty is never won for good. You have to always fight to maintain it. There are always those wanting to take it away on macro and micro levels. It has nothing to do with the people. It is a sick world in which we live in. One would think we would progress and improve over time, we haven't. We don't learn from and improve from our previous mistakes, we make them over and over again and will continue to. As you can see, I'm very optomistic tonight.

i wonder what would happen if i took the copper end of the wire they got running into my house and stuck in my 220 plug outlet.

What else did you expect from this paranoid pistol packing politician? Kalifornia's Frankenstein monster's primary object is to disarm everybody but herself and those jack booted thugs, who are paid to enforce her fascist laws...

And considering that California is literally on another planet when it comes to their thinking and ideals (gay marriage, legal marijuana, recalling the governor, etc.) I'm surprised that they would vote someone like this into office... I'm assuming she came in under the radar, and if this was blown into front page news, she would be on her way out as well!

They ought to pass a proper law to stop this clear & obvious perversion of the law.
1) It ought to be mandatory that anyone passing or trying to pass this sort of 'business bill' should be barred from having anything to do with the industry in terms of employment or consultative 'work', ever, and
2) they should also have their bank accounts and the bank accounts of their close family monitored for 30yrs (and the accounts of anyone else or any business connected to them) to ensure no payments are ever made.
It's their choice to go into politics and they must be seen to be above any kind of suspicion whatsoever.
That would stop this kind of law so obviously framed to solely benefit big business and disadvantage the people.
See how they like it when it's their privacy that is illusory.
Take the possibility of any kind of personal or familial reward away.
It's the only way.

I can't see it slipping in. At least not with this round of stimulus. People are fed up enough with the bailouts of the biggest criminals in the country. In the state most Americans are in now, it wouldn't be prudent to add this burden to them. Most have had their homes and jobs taken away. Now they want to take away basic freedoms? But hey, you never know.

This proposal reeks of greed and medieval intents, and reminds me that there was a time when Microsoft was considered an unbeatable monopoly until the smart and innovative guys from Google found a way to compete. Feinstein?s amendment deserves to be monitored and scrutinized until it dies quietly in some US senate hallway.

Run4two, Feinstein is just protecting her sponcers the movie industry. If it doesn't make this bill it will be in something else before the end of the year. Anti piracy entities were some of the biggest contributers this election. P2P as we know it in the US is doomed.

Obama got elected with conciderable help from the anti-piracy groups. His term will extermaite P2P as we know it in the US. The legal dept of the Whitehouse is wall to wall RIAA lawyers. They will be able to drive a mack truck up yours in a few years once they get the laws iron clad.
