How to install a dashboard update without internet?

I have no internet in my xbox 360,and i would like to have that nxe update to copy games to the hard drive, but i don't know what i need, or need to do.I know i can download the update off a torrent and burn it to a dvd,but will it interfere with the xbox software?or just update the hard drive and if it screws up i can just format it and it'll all work fine?

Well I've downloaded updates from Xbox Live on mine which is cracked and not had any problems so I can't see it would

i used this method to update my system which is a 2006 unit and it gave me graphic artifacts on my screen which is a sure sign of RROD so i immediately went to hardware store and got stuff to do the xclamp fix and after i did it eveeything was great. been working A+ ever since.
Now you may not have this happen to u as it was really just soincidence i guess and my system was probably already on its way to that point but the update for some reason brought it out moreso.
If you send me questions on Live about modding or anything related i will block you. Dont be an idiot.

If you have a friend who has the updated dash, either put his hdd on your console, or put your hdd on his console. You'll get the update and it'll install to your console.

I would just do it for the hard drive install feature as i reckon it would vastly improve my drive life.

I know that one of my friends has a xbox,but he,like me,doens't use internet ehehe.Guess that's not our thing in Portugal,still way too underdeveloped

I have done it the way Microsoft explains on their homepage (by burning the fall update to a CD and load from there), my drive is modified aswell and I only had a 256 MB memory unit at that time.
Now I have a HDD and have formatted the memory unit. Can't use all features of fall update anymore (like the avatar) and the CD update doesn't work anymore because my console already has it installed. There is no chance to get the HDD online (no friend of mine has a 360), is there another way to get the update data to my HDD?
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

nope if u already installed the update before then it stored all that avatra info and stuff on the memory unit...but u erased it. so unless going online u cannot apply the update again since the system already has the nxe
