Yes, it does, now there is a new development, we tried to autoscan on Cable and Wireless because we were not gettng anywhere with NTL now it is showing all the channels on the screen some show $ sign in front but we can still view them. Sorry if I am confusing you
That's fine if it has finished then go into Menu enter 1570 and turn the Key Emu to ON and exit to Sk* Sports 1.

Thanks for your help once again, we are getting the channels as I said on scanning on Cable & Wireless, most of them have $ sign in front of them as if they are not been unscambled but we can view them, any suggestions how we can get rid of these $ signs or it doesn't matter that the box is working but we are getting another channel 510 which is security fraud mess, is anybody else getting that

The $ sign will always be there it is not a problem is it surely, it only appears when you have the channel list on screen?

you cant get rid of $ signs, as for the 510 message dont heed it, or you can just delete that channel

Just ignore it, it is an old trick they use regularly or as said you can delete, but it is not a problem and nothing to worry about.

Seems that you are in an N*L EX C&W area, so you have to use that as your supplier okay, remember that for future reference, if you had stated your area I could have explained that earlier, but nice to see that your are now okay.

hi you guys
all new to this, but had trouble with starview 3 my son re coded it, and it went down on wed, didnt want to bother him again so read all your info ,got it up and running again myself (amaized)thanks to all for info posted will be in touch again as i still have fun wth other things ie ,vista, i am no pc wizz kid just a 56 year old who loves gadgets but cant work them many thanks

Well done, it's nice to see someone getting the job done and a few tips via reading and following a thread, glad you have picked up a lttle more know how LOL :) take care and good luck. In the meantime just feel free to ask away if you do come across a stumbling block now and again.

folks help please wits end. Have a super been ok upgrading it etc but was using XP to do it. Have new laptop with Vista loaded the Gilsson drivers etc have the Dec 8.04 GTrom..checked the port to read com1 it sees the box but wont update? any ideas? is vista the problem......many thanks

Lots of people have problems with Vista, why have you changed from using XP to do the job, just revert back to what you know will do the job for you on your old job, save yourself a lot of headache.

Malci...Thanks mate went back to XP and flashed fine but alas this is proving a nightmare of a starview super! Have loaded 8.02e firmware no problem. Go to update on Sly Two and it keeps updating on 0% never moving past.Tried to flash when on a non$ channel but still the same.ANy advice should i reflash with old firwamre then try upgrade.I have tried to update on lots of channels but no joy????PLease help Many Thanks

dont understand how u treid to flash it on non$ as the box needs to be on standby when flashing

done that as a last resort I had fixed an older starview that way. I had flashed it previous as normal. Checked sys info it read 8.02 dated nov 08. then went to sly two and other channels but keeps looping on o%.

Yep. you need the Dec 08 Firmware release, flash it with that one as posted above, not 8.02, that will not update for you.
