hiya guys.....i'm still relatively new to all this dvd burning carry on though i think i have the backing up process sorted out. my last main point of confusion is the difference between -r and +r discs and when i should use which?

Hi viper6699,

I have found +R media to be more compatable with my playback equipment (my PS2 doesn't like -R) however I can burn 4X -R media at 8X so I use it too. If you can burn either, burn the one thats most compatible, just make sure it's good quality media.

hmmmm...........i'm finding i'm getting good results on both games and movies with ritek -dvdr.......should i just continue with what works good for me?

Sounds like a plan to me.

I've found that a lot of consoles, especially some Xboxes, prefer -R discs. But you'll find that some players prefer one and some the other. Generally the quality of the discs matters more though.

The Ritek -R discs you are using are one of the most cost-effective media so no problems there really.
