Is there a way to extract .zip files? i already know how to extract rar but with zip you cant go in folder which is why i dont know how to extract zip. also is there a way to move a big rar or cso file without having to copy? (GAME to ISO folder).....i case anyone is wondering i've downloaded a cso file using the megaupload link generator.megadl.info from my psp internet...i'm trying to make psp self sufficient

irshell might be able to or xplora, check www.pspupdates.com to find zip compressors or use winrar www.rarlabs.com for your pc, and about the whole way around copy is if you find a homebrew app for the psp that extracts .rar you can download the .rar straight to the psp root:/ISO/ and extract it & move it with programs like irshell, xplora or psp filer whichever but i haven't tried so I'll have to check and get back to you.

thanks a lot. Theres no risk of any of those apps bricking psp is there? i case your wondering my psp battery stopped working cause it bricked and somehow now psp works with ac adapter only and messes up when i try to put battery in so thats why im asking if there are risks because you cant unbrick unless you have pandora battery.

no, most homebrew don't affect the psp's flash partitions and thats usually the cause of semi bricks with homebrew/plugins

okay thanks by the way i figured out how to extract zip using psp filer. it turns out that the zip file wasnt good cause i was able to unzip mortal kombat and streets of rage also would you happen to know how to start mortal kombat? forsome reason i can skip intro and when it goes to main screen i press every button and it wont start...the only sega gen rom i have problem with.

may be a bad rom or you can try to get another release of it, if you get a complete set of goodset aka goodmerged roms its comes with a few versions of the same game and sometimes even fan made hacks so you could try those if the emulator is the problem and not the rom.

yes squiddo but its easier just to presss select in the xmb (desktop and switch usb device from memory stick to umd drive and then copy the iso to you pc and store your backups to swap from there

This is for the purpose of backing up my UMDs when I'm on the move, and can't use a PC.
