I shipped a package on february 2nd. from Ontario Canada to Georgia us...
this is all i get when i go to the canada post tracking system:

2009/02/05 03:48 International item has left Canada
2009/02/04 22:32 MISSISSAUGA, ON Item processed at postal facility
2009/02/04 20:51 MISSISSAUGA, ON Item processed at postal facility
2009/02/02 17:57 LONDON, ON Item accepted at the Post Office

and when i do it with the USPS.com tracking system this is what i get:
Origin Post is Preparing Shipment
Foreign International Dispatch, February 05, 2009, 3:48 am, TORONTO-A, CANADA
Foreign Acceptance, February 02, 2009, 5:57 pm, CANADA

its been already 10 business days..idk what "origin post is preparing shipment" means.
im worried that it wont get there...
is this delay normal? or is there a possibility that its lost?
or held up at customs...?

please i would appreciate any of your comments!
it was supposed to be my valentine day gift to my boyfriend :( ahhhh.

Unfortunately USPS will stay at Origin Post is Preparing Shipment until it has been delivered. So once it enters the USA the tracking system is kind of useless.

When I have ordered things from Canada (shipping from the same place) the times have varied. Sometimes I get them within a week sometimes a few weeks. It just depends on how long it takes the package to get through customs.

so youre saying that the origin post message is saying that the package has arrived to the US already... and they are just waiting for whoever is going to deleiver it to pick it up?

so i guess i have to be patient..i was just scared, and i thought it wasnt going to get there ever.

The Canada post office tracking says it has left Canada and has entered into the USA.

The package will have to go through US customs before it is shipped out to Georgia. How long customs takes to clear the package is up to them.

That is why sometimes I can get a package in a week but sometimes it gets held up in customs and I don't get it till 1 1/2 to 2 weeks.
