I see guides on how to install all sorts of homebrew stuff but I'm not seeing the basic questions answered anywhere.

I have 3.4u firmware installed. I want to play homebrew and backup games, what do I need to do? Do I have downgrade first? Do I have to do the "twilight hack"? Do I need the actual Twilight game?

I've read that the modchip is the best solution so I'm going to buy a modchip w/ clip FYI. Thanks for any help.
