I believe I did everything correct and successfully following the guide on this site listed here. When I installed the cIOS thing I got a message that I'm not sure I'm supposed to. It said "es_addcontentstart failed -1017" then the next line says "install returned -1" After that it returns to the Homebrew Channel. When I load Wiigator gamma and try to play I get the DVD Read Error 324 (no cIOS). I've done some searching and people with actual problems and people with bad media seem to get this message, so I'm not sure which I'm getting.

I'm stuck with poorer DVD's until tomorrow or wednesday when the better stuff I ordered comes, but I'm just curious if I did this right or not.

Its not a media problem. "Install returned -1" means that the cIOS failed to install. So of course wiigator returns the no cIOS error.

Usually the cIOS will fail to install because you have firmware 3.3 (version 2) or firmware 3.4. If thats the case then you need to install IOS16, then you can install cIOS's again.

I forgot to add my firmware is 3.4U, and I read in the guide that after the cIOS install it goes back to the Wii Channel, whereas mine is going back to Homebrew. I thought maybe that meant something is wrong.

I think I know what I forgot to do, I forgot to the cios_fix.wad before installing the cIOS7 thing. Now when I try to install the wads though I am getting "Installing ticket ERROR ret = -2011. How can I fix this situation and start fresh?
