My xbox has recently stopped working - got an e74 error. Unfortunately it is out of warranty so i emailed xbox support and paid the £55. They said they would send me an email containing a link to print a label off. It didn't work so they said they would send me another link. I didn't receive one.
I phoned to complain and they said that UPS would collect my console and bring their own labels. They never arrived and it is still waiting for collection 17 days after I made the request.
I have made numerous emails of complaint and they have all been ignored or they advise me to ring a number. I ring the number and I have to fight my way through numerous automated services. Eventually i get through to a human who speaks poor English and states he will sort out a refund - No apology or attempt to sort out the problem. A week later I still do not have any refund.
I have sent letters of complaint to xbox support and microsoft themselves but do not hold much hope of a satisfactory outcome. I am ringing my bank tomorrow to see if they can do anything.
Has anyone else had a similar problem which they have managed to resolve? I know its only £130 to buy a new one but they have really P****d me off with this.

call the escalated support number, 866?506?3826. they speak english VERY WELL lol. have your latest case number handy. i called in a repair and never got my box, called and they said it was not possible to be delivered but that must have been a mistake. the guy was really nice and acted like this stuff happens all the time. and he issued me a new box and even had it overnighted to me or quick delivery and had my case escalated to save time since it was already late.

I am in the USA so i do not know if this number will work for u. if not then im sure there has to be a similar number for UK support, it is called the escalated support so ask if u have to.

I finally got my money back - still no apology or attempt to try and repair the console though. I have given up trying now. I bought a new 60gb one. The only problem is I need a data migration kit to transfer my saved games over - so having to contact Microsoft yet again - don't think they will be rushing me one out

I can't believe it - Microsoft responded to my letter. They have apologised and offered to repair my console free of charge. Unfortunately I had alrady bought a new one but my faith in customer service has been restored.
For anyone who has had a similiar problem the tel no for the UK escalation team is +44 118 909 3851.
