We all know these dvd's suck! But here is a question, it may be bad for the laser, but I have a 120gb hd and i install all my games on the HD.
So if I'm installing all my games from my Memorex dvd games, will my laser last long and is it okay to use the discs if im just installing the games?

i have seen some users that say they do this to save money on discs since vernatims are so high price. i dont think it can hurt unless u end up burning discs that do not work at all, cause after so many coasters u will be spending the same amount of money in the end.

Memorex is the only brand myself and my friends use. That's seven of us with no coasters unless it was user error or the image was bad.

The only way i know if i had a coaster was if I tried installing a game and I would get a read error at some point during the installation. So I would reburn and try installing again and it would work.

It definitely does save you money on brands, but I was just wondering if its okay for my 360 to install off of a memorex.

I don't see any problems. I sometimes play off the dvd and others off the hard drive, you won't have an issue.

the best place to get verbs is at sams club. you can get a 50pk for 59.99 ish you add tax and your at like 1.30 each.

ten pks of memorex at target and walmart are 14.99 (1.49ea)or so and the 50pk at walmart is 54.99 or so. (i know their cheaper online but shipping is a factor too.)

if you read some forums here you'll see the burn failure is pretty high.

plus a 50pk should last you a while... i'll pay the few extra pennies
