I used to have Sonic and Roxio CD Burn programs, but they had too many issues, and I cannot understand the inner workings of IMGBurn. Is there anyone out there that knows of a freeware CD burner program that will allow me to simply burn music CDs and data CDs to store family photos on? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try CDBurnerXP. You can get it right here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_so...urnerxp_pro.cfm

mp3 license isn't free with dbpoweramp .. haven't tried wma files (because I don't download crap like that) but maybe audacity WILL export them as mp3 for free.

I don't download "crap like that", either. I have old cds that are out of print, so I am trying to convert the old cds with a few good songs left on them to mp3s to save on my computer and burn onto blank cds to listen again without skipping.

You don't have to understand the "inner workings"...98% of the people don't,(I don't know much about it either, but I can make it work with no problems), but most can read a guide. If you actually take less than 5 minutes to read(which probably is 10X less than the time wasted trying to make other useless programs work), you can make ImgBurn work. I bet even a cave man can do it...Just forget all the bells&whisles that anyone barely ever makes use of them...just follow the steps in the guide, cannot get any easyer.

windows installer 3.1 .. part of your OS is broken.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...&displaylang=en

I rip cd straight to flac with soundjuicer (db poweramp ripper will do that also.. as long as you install the flac codec pack)

ps.. you don't "download" files from a music cd.. you "rip" them.. I don't use wma.. junk format.. rather like mp3.

I just had my hard drive reformatted and lost some of the great programs many of you have told me about. What is the best freeware dvd movie player I can download? I have a few limewire movies downloaded but cannot watch some with Windows Move Player. Any help is most appreciated.
