i have a xbox-360 with samsung drive.i want to know which model exactly is(i've heard that samsung has a lot of models).first of all this.secondly,which is the newest and best flash for my drive,and were to find a good tutorial.thanks!!!
as far as i know, there are only two models of samsung drives, one with ms25 firmware, and one with ms28 firmware. regardless, to find out which one you have, open up your 360 and look on the top of the frive for the firmware version. as far as flashing is concerend, there are two ways that work great and are the newest available.
one: find and download jungle flasher. open up the readme/instructions and do exactly what it says, thats it.
two: find and download the xbox 360 modification disc version 1.5 and burn it to a blank disc. hook up the drive to the pc, then boot from the disc and follow the on screen instructions, thats it.
both are fairly simple and easy to understand. and both include instructions that anyone can understand. as far as hooking up the drive to the pc, if you dont have the information on how to do that, i suggest finding and downloading textbooks 2008 xbox 360 modding guide and using the information in the getting started section to get everything else you need.
if you are still lost from here, you should prolly do some more research, the rest of your uestions, and these actually, are all over the place.

^^ iprep is also a great program for doing this, as wabashman has said. i used iprep for a long time with much success.
been using it since it came out pretty much, i think i only flashed like 2 from the old mtkflash stuff and that was when it was pretty much only possible for it to be done like that. if you do use iprep just make sure to verify that the key it dumped is a legit one not FFFFFFFFFF or 777777777 before you go and write the hacked FW.
