SD card slot not working

I bought a SD card for the wii(2g), and tried to install the twilight hack, but got an error saying the device in slot could not be used. I formatted the card and tried again, but still would not work. I called nintendo and talked to a rep, they said to try another card so I bought another card(HP secure digital 2gb) and that card didnt work. I figured maybe the card slot was broken, so I bought a wii key SD Adapter. This is suppose to allow me to put my sd card into the adapter so I can install the twilight hack, but when I put the adapter and card in the slot it say that it cannot be use in slot A, and I try slot B, it says the same thing. Do I need to do somthing else to the card to make it work in the Wii? The card reads in my compter and was formatted, any info on this would be great....Thanks

You can verify if the card slot is working or not by putting some .jpgs on them and seeing if they are recognized in the Photo channel.

If that works then it's probably not hardware.

I'm not a softmodder so I can't go much beyond that.
