I would like to ask the AfterDawn community for some help. I have a bad DVD drive that I need to extract the DVD key off of, which I know how to with a programmer but I would like to try another method. It is to get the orig. bin off a similar system and flash a good drive with it and my unique key.
I've tried this before on another 360 and used the orig. bin with someone else's 360 with the same build date and info to repair a broken DVD drive and flashed it to another drive with my unique key and it Worked! ;-)
I would like to ask anyone with an Xbox 360 Elite -
NTSC - MFR Date around- 2007-06 with Lot#0724 Team:FDOU to please send me there Orig.Key Bin.
PM me so I can give you an email to send it too.
Any help you can provide me would greatly be appreciated. I will post my results of this experiment too.
Thanks,
R.M.

You're kidding, right?
You want someone elses key, from what drive you have no clue, so you can flash it to your drive.
Sorry, but it don't work that way. If you had taken one minute to search for results for what you are asking, you would know your answer already.
Also you got me completely baffled by this. First you say I've tried this before on another 360 and used the orig. bin with someone else's 360 with the same build date and info to repair a broken DVD drive and flashed it to another drive and it Worked!. Then you turn around and say, I will post my results of this experiment too.
What experiment if you've already done this before? Although I can tell you right now that you haven't.
This sounds more along the line of a scam to get someones key so you can use it on a console which you've downgraded the kernel and want to unban it from LIVE.
Thread reported. This sounds too fishy.

Dude why the edited by ddp do you have to be a edited by ddp about it! I'm telling you I've done it before and I have perfectly working 360 because of it. I just recently bought a an elite with HDMI, which my old one does not have so I want to try this same experiment again and see if it works, Again. I will be buying or using my good drive with it cause the original in there now is busted. I know I can use the programmer to get the key off the TSOP too. And that is what I will do if this does not work. There is nothing fishy about it. I don't use Live and never will because as you know if you have a modded XBOX you can get banned , so No I am not scamming anyone and not downgraded any kernel or BS that you said.

So what you are saying, is you would like to use somebodys dvd key from their original firmware, flash it to your drive, and hope their key matches the key stored in the NAND flash of your xbox 360? You have got to be joking...
Can you please elaborate on your first "experiment" where you used somebodys dvd key and it worked on your system.
Here is original hitachi firmware.. download and please post your results back on here. Everybody would enjoy a good laugh.
EDIT: Nevermind, I found your results from the other thread.

Every Xbox 360 console has a unique key so it is impossible to use the same dvd key multiple times on different consoles unless the nand firmware is modified. The answer is no you can't use someone elses dvd key for a different system. It is possible however if the Infectus modchip or something similar is used to modify the nand firmware, but you would need a launch console as well. You already listed the type of console you have, and it can't be done because its a hardware issue.I think something may come in the future that will actually enable us to retrieve the dvd key from the motherboard.I doubt it will be anytime soon though as the process is pretty complicated.
Better answer with result:
If you flash someone elses dvd key and firmware you will end up with a dvd player. The dvd key on the drive has to match the nand firmware dvd key as they are married to each other.
