Format sd card to FAT16

well i have vista and i am trying to format my sd card to fat16 and i can't do it. I right click on it and it brings up some options but no fat16. they say fat is the same so i tried to do the hack and i loaded the files on the sd card than i put it in my wii and when i go to the data management and than click on the sd card the files arent't there
any ideas

Fat and fat16 are the same thing. So it should be working.

Its possible that your SD card isnt compatible with the wii. What size is it? The wii only supports SD cards up to 2 gigs.

I got it taken care of. I had the files copied to the sd card wrong
