home brew channel and backup launcher

well i hacked my wii and everything went fine. I ended up downgrading my firmware to 3.2u...I had 3.4u. Should i use 3.3u? well anyways i installed the files and than i installed the backup launcher channel and its on my wii channels but when i put a burnt game in it just reads it and nothing happens. I know that the game works because it will play in my other wii. Any ideas.

i too just softmodded my wii. I tried burning a backup from blackcats... super smash bros brawl... i burned it at 4 and 2x, both failed when i tried them in my wii. I stuck the disc in, ran backup launcher, and it just gives me an error saying dvd not identified or something like that. what do you use to try and play your backup?

i use wii gator gamma backup launcher. I had someone install it on my wii and it works fine i am able to play backup games without a problem. now i tried to install it on my friends wii and i got the channel loaded and the homebrew channel on it and it won't load the game

I cant help you out any mroe than that... i dont know if i have a working copy of a backup because without one, i may be in the same situation as you. Let me know what happens though.. good luck

so i got mine working... my cIOS wasnt installed correctly. Did you get yours working? What error on backup launcher are you getting?

I think it said error 001 i can't remember though. I installed softmii 2.0 and i got that working for the backup launcher. but i would like to install the wii gator gamma backup launcher what files did you install and in what order

you guys obviously arent following directions. Dont be newbs. first you install homebrew via twilight hack, then you install cios files, next comes the backup launcher which all you have to do is load. NOw if your not burning the games correctly it aint gunna read it so listen up. first of all use imgburn its an easy interface. now as far as super smash bros goes its a big game 6 gig i think so it has to be put on a dl dvd to fit and when you do this you must change your booktype in options so that the burner recognizes teh media. whatever your disc is match the booktype in the settings of imgburner. Also know your game region, know if its a pal game or a ntsc game. Both will work fine in backup launcher. if its a pal game though u must go to config and FORCE NTSC and then itll load, gl- if you have questions ask away i will answer with precise responses

first off..dont be a douche.. Secondly, i used the guide on the forum. For some reason, the cIOS i tried initially installing didnt work and thats what threw me off. So after getting another cIOS and trying that, everything worked. That also was josh299's problem and we both figured it out.

If your getting 001 or 002 error then go HERE and download one of these WiiGator versions.
If it is a dol file then boot it via Homebrew Channel. If it is a WAD file then use WAD Manager to install the backup launcher channel.

I have wii Version 3.2u. and I just got Homebrew via twilight hack and backup Launcher 0.3 last week from a friend.
Now the thing is i don't plan on ever updating or updating these hack versions. I wanna know If i can still go online and still play my Official Super Smash Brawl and mario kart.
I dont want a link to any sites just a straight answer.

oh and for some added info I tried Call of duty 5 online and it worked so i just wanna know if i can do any games online b4 that game.
And if Tenchu Shadow of assassins contains a wii update or not.
