Okay Im having HUGE problems with the PS3

1) when I plug my Ps3 into my 19" HP w19e Monitor with a 1440x900 Resolution via a HDMI~DVI-D cable, it comes up "Input not Supported" and nothing happens, so then I plug it back into the AV cables, it works. Is there anyway I can get it to work??? (also I dont think my monitor has HDCP support but it does have a VGA and DVI-D input)

2) Same problem as above except with ubuntu linux

3) cant download or install any emulators on ubuntu...

4) Is there a way I can use like PSPVNC but on ubuntu

5) Is there a way I can make a wirless SIGNAL via my PS3 ('cause I know the PS3 can do it 'cause remote play allows it!)

6) can I use PSPVNC on USB???

I'll answer the few that I can.

1.) The monitor is not HDCP like you had thought, which is why it isn't working.

5.) It might be possible under linux to setup an ad-hoc type connection to other devices, I've heard of it being done before but never looked into it myself. YDL had better support for the ps3 and more specifically its wireless so it would be a better base, but iirc it doesn't work properly on SD screens.
