hello,
well here is my problem
i have a laptop and a desktop my laptop sicks cuz well its a long story
so i have a external harddrive for all my movies
when i stream using my laptop everything works fine as i said above but when i switch to my desktop and play movies movies on my 360
movies skip and pause its really pissing me off
i have ffdshow and hali media spliiter
i also added a registry i will post that on the bottom
and i use GOTSent to convert
but like i said i can transfer the movies to my laptop add the to windows media player throught my hard drive and they will stream fine plz help.

run system restore to get rid of that registry crap, then install tversity and use that to stream, it converts "on the fly" and that way you dont need all that extra stuff and i would never install a registry hack for any reason, unless I knew for certain that it would work.

is there a way just to remove the registry tweak or can ikeep it on there cuz thats one the first things i put on the computer cuz i recently had a bot and reinstalled windows so i would have to reinstall so many programs and 3 programs take a good hour or so

it may be something that wont ever bother anything, but then again it may cause issues with tversity or something. try it without running system restore, but if you have lots of trouble with tversitiy that may be what it is.

it does it on the fly, it will auto convert so you can play it while it streams, i dont think it actually converts it and stores it, i think it just re-encodes it as its going and then goes back to its normal file type when its done

it still skips on the mp4 format
and its not reencoding
i am trying to play an mkv is thgat a problem
and is there setting that i have to fix
do i have to add the mkv and make it so it always transcode
cuz when i do that it says the file is unplayable
