Ok i dumped the game onto the sd card and put the files into a folder and used hjsplit to join them all, now i tried to run the wii backup patcher but it did not do a full conversion?
is this a bad dump? do i need to run the wii backup patcher before i can load it with backup launcher on the homebrew channel?

what, LOL. How can you possibly put the whole game on an sd card, i think the max wii will except is 2 gb sd card. After you dump the file using rawdump itll create an iso image file for you which you can then put on a dvd and yes you launch backup launcher and start the game from within that menu.

I didn't put the full game on the sd card at once, i had to make several trips from the wii to the pc to transfer the data,
when i got the full 4.37gb onto the pc i used hjsplit to join like i did with my lego batman and then tried to use the wii backup patcher,
but it did not do the conversion, so as you can see i have done a backup of a wii game before (lego batman) that worked but for some reason my deer drive will not convert using the backup patcher.

I will be happy to help you out buddy but i need to better understand your scenario so I dont get confused. I personally never put games directly on sd card, i jus burn them on dvd, if you can explain your situation to me better and tell me everything you have done to your nintendo then i will help you to the best of my abilities

ok here goes, i have already made successful backups of two of my games using dvd dumper, i choose to dump onto my sd card and make several trips back and forth from wii to pc until i have a folder with 4.37gb which is the size of the iso, i then join all the pieces using hjsplit when thats done i have one 4.37gb iso, now this is where it gets messed up, i then try to run the wii backup patcher program and it starts to convert the iso but then stops not giving me a full conversion, my wii is set up right twilight hack and homebrew channel, also have backup launcher channel etc etc
like i said the other two that i backed up, i had no problem using wii backup patcher, i thought maybe something might have happened to my patcher program so i tried another game and it worked?
i dumpped deer drive twice with the same results, is it that deer drive can not be backed up? or can i just go ahead and burn the iso image without using wii backup patcher?
