Hitachi 79 mode B help

Here's my story using the same PC that was able to flash a Benq and slax 2.1 boot I into slax and everything goes fine takes 2 taps of the eject button to eject the drive so I let slax finish out take out the disc and reboot when I get to the windows loading screen the drive ejects with only 1 tap of the eject button I've tried all 4 SATA ports and tried unplugging the SATA cable and pluging it in at the windows loading bar no luck yet anyone have any ideas

not sure if the slax 2.1 has this feature built in as i havent flashed one yet, but i'm pretty sure that you have to use the 'unlock 79' .wav file disc to get it ready to be in mode b or something like that. hopefully someone that has flashed one will be able to tell you exactly how to do it.

I can't get that far since my drive is no longer in Mode B once I get to the desktop basically I get into mode B with slax and when I try ejecting the drive at the window loading screen it's no longer in mode B because it only takes one tap of the eject button at this point

ok, how are you resetting the computer once its in mode b? pressing the towers reset button, or some other way?

lol I got a little further now I am now using the 360 to power the drive and now I'm able to load into window on Mode B and my PC recognizes the Drive I run the unlock cd play it once then play and pause close out media player I run the command prompt and it gives me an error '79unlock' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. When I run FWtBox run Raw Dump I get an error as well 'Cannot read from drive'

Ok i figured it out was able to flash the drive now the drive has stayed on mode B lol it won't read the games I have to press the eject button twice to open and close the drive lol how do you take it off Mode B ?

Really need help now it's off mode B but when I insert a game it says open tray at the bottom right away it doesn't say reading please help!!!

Never mind I figured it out I feel like an idiot lol I forgot to plug the SATA cable to the drive lol
