Hi people,

I've had problems getting my channels back eg Setanta 1/2/3, more recently 10 Movie channels disappeared.

I've done reset, rescan, flashed with laptop from v7 back upto the latest 8.02 and i still get these missing??

im really stuck and cant work out what i can do - i've been reading threads and things but nothing really works.

Can anyone suggest a fix and i'll try it out as it's driving me barmy!!!
oh, im in West London if that matters - also i used to have most the channels up until about xmas - they rolled the codes and after updating and scannin, channels went awol!!

Thanks in advance.

No splitters mate. Just straight feed from connection to box. Like I say, the channels used to be there??? Can I update firmware for my box or is that done already when I updated to v8.02e?

Thanks

You don't need to wipe your box, when you re-flash with an updated Firmware you overwrite the pre-existing Firmware, and if it it Starview The Box Super, (if that is what it say's top left hand side front of box) then it is the 8.04 you require to update to. It was released 24 Dec 08, and it is in Eamo's FTA library, at the bottom of my post, but here is a direct link ti the Firmware you require >>>>>>

It will work, when you have updated to the 8.04, just do a Factory Re-Set okay, and a fresh Installation >>

Press menu and go down to Factory Setting OK - Accept English OK and OK on Installation,
Select correct provider i.e. NTL, C/W or TW (top right)
Then automatic scan
Once the channels are found, exit back to the main Menu
Enter 1570,
Go down to the bottom option and turn EMU to ON.
Now exit 3 times and go to S*y Sports and let it update, or if in Ireland Sly 2 or any with a strong signal.

Any ideas anyone......this thing is driving me potty as i can't work it out!!

The basic Sky package is cheaper than the basic NTL and its much better quality and you cant beat sky plus
