When I was flashing my liteon drive using dosflash. An error occured when writing Bank 3 if suddenly failed. I tried to retry the process but it did not work. So i Aborted. Then when I tried to read the drive again using dosflash it wouldnt recognize the drive (Port A000 in my case). I do have the dvd keys saved on my computer but im scared thats too late since dosflash isnt even seeing anything on that port. I thought my via card went out on me so I hooked up another liteon drive on it, and it read that fine. If there is a solution, help would be appreciated. Thanks.

try to erase the drive using dosflash32 it will eventually work as i had the same problem on my lite-on but with a 650i after about 5 hours of losing my rag it eventually decided to erase the flash chip then allowed me to write to it

i've heard numerous people 'think' they bricked it but no one who actually didn't get it working in the end...

just erase it and try again... it will work have faith. ..
