before I go on to my questions
I want you to know that I have read all guides (written, pics, videos)regarding (psp downgrading)my question, I just want some clarifications before I proceed to downgrading my psp ;p
I have the phat psp, I bought it in 2007 and started as version 2.70 I think, and today its the version 4.05 (no hacking has been done)
OK, so here's my question
1) is it OK to downgrade the psp system software 4.05 version succesfully?
2) I only have 1 psp, 1 battery, 1 mem stick, can I do the downgrading with them only?

I only have 1 battery, if I make that to pandora
can i play hombrew games with it? or do i need to reset it to the normal battery after I downgraded it?
ok listen u have to have a m33 custom firmware (CFW) to have all the homebrew, games etc. BUT if u just wan't to downgrade u should use pandora battery., but i can't tell u much cause i can't make it also work.
but this will surly work:
1.download the 5.00 official firmware
2.download the 5.00 custom firmware (u can find all of this on the www.psp-hacks.com)
3.read the tut on how to install it, read carefully.
4.then you also download 5.00 kernel add on witch will allow u to play homebrew.
5.then download hellcat's downgrader and run it on your psp 6.use this program to downgrade to 1.50 official firmware and then when u have the official firmware (check in system information) u format the memory stick (be sure to backup all the thing u want to save before starting stage 1).
7.now u have a official firmware with nothing on the memory stick, so now u just download the official firmware that u want to have and install it.
trust me this may sound complex but it's then times easier than hardmodding your battery. and btw if u can siftmod your battery do that. the choice is up to u. Man my fingers hurt, hope it helps...
