so i have 360 that when i put in game most the time i get it just saying "open tray" or white screen of death. asked what i should do and was told to get new lens. so got one on ebay with anti static point already removed, and just installed it and still getting same error. i have removed it twice now and both times did same thing. so now what are my options. do i buy another lens? replace drive? what else can i do.

Its a samsung drive, purchased this lens http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...m=260364239150. Im positive its not media issue since i had several games that it worked before it broke that dont work and orginals dont work either.

so just tried it one last time before bed and im thinking i fryed something some how i followed this http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=613780 step by step but this time i noticed a pool of what looked like melted plastic on main board. so am i able to just buy drive and just replace whole drive. if so is there specific drive i need or will anyof these do http://shop.ebay.com/items/?_nkw=samsung...ment&_osacat=0. also if i can anyone know where i can find guide for it?

most easy for you would be to buy exact same drive you have then flash it with your key from your drive and you should be good to go.
just remember you will have to have the key from the drive thats not working so if for some reason the drive will not power up you need to have your backup key that you saved when you flashed your system.

so just to make sure i got this, is this backup key in the backup i made when i flashed my drive with new firmware. the one where i kept it and was told in the guide to pretty much protect it with my life and so on? i still have it if so but how do i go about flashing it? do i do it same was as the firmware i put on my broke drive to play backups. using IPREP i think i used.

also i have to buy an M25 or M28 drive correct? how do i tell other then by looking at lable on drive? the guy i bought this 360 from did a visual mod to it at took off that sticker so is there any other way? or does that matter?
