Lads can anyone help I have a mate who got a Starview 3 Super, he thinks the latest soaftware is on but system info does not agree - can scan gets all channels exit out starts to update but will not move off 0% - does the system info update when you upgrade ? If so then he obviously does not have latest firmware. MCFC999

system information should tell you what firmwares on it and what date it was released try flashing it again.

Thanx for that can anyone clarify the latest firm ware for a starview super I downloaded a file from the web called "GTRom_Super_8[1].02e.exe", is that the correct one do you kow? It says it was uploaded in Nov 08, and last downloaded earlier today. I have also found a 'GTRom_Super_8[1].04e.exe' file, but I am confused to say the least as to what file I should be using. Do you know the correct one? Am I not to look for version 4.57 for ireland can anyone direct me to an idiots guide to updating a Starview Super box MCFC999

go up to the first thread at the top of the forum called ****latest fixes here******,you should find what ur lookin for in there.

its 8.o4 you want to download it connect tne box via the cable and press download make sure box is in standby

its called a null modem cable,usually 9pin female to 9 pin female,
