basically any DL dvd burner will do the job, just look on ebay, tiger direct or any online retailer or even walmart.

I have lost all and any respect i had for this site!

I have a Pioneer 112-D, read somewhere that Pioneer burners are best to burn Xbox 360 games.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

I'm looking to purchase a drive also. I hear good things about the pioneers. The 112d is IDE though, and I have SATA connections so the pioneer 212 is basically the same thing with SATA ports.

also, it's dual, not duel. duel is for fighting...at least here in the US.

The ones on here will burn games fine, they wont be able to copy original discs (only backups).

to rip originals you need a sammy sh-d162d ide or sammy sh-d163b drive with kreon firmware i use schtrom 360 extract to create all iso's and burn with image burn i use this because when you open the dvd file it throws up image burn and you hit burn dont need to mess with any settings just hit burn
and yes almost any dl writer will work there are some with issues so far the ones ive used are
pioneers 112d ide
pioneers 116d ide
pioneers 212d sata
pioneers 216d sata
nec nd-4550a

ps do not rent(as someone mentioned) and make a copy, this is piracy only use if you wish to back up your own game!!!!!!!
hope this helps

Well not to be negative about the kreon drives but i tried to find one and I could not find one. So I did what most would do and that is take the top off of a DVD-DL drive and use wxripper. Use a dvd that is atleast 7.5GB big and follow a tutorial from 360mods or maybe even on here. Youtube is a good place to find a video on how to do it step by step. Everyone said that wxripper will give you nothing but headaches but I have not suffered one yet. I have had one disc fail on me but that is because my 2 yearold got a hold of it before I got it in the box. Its not hard to backup your originals if you will just put in the time and ask the right questions. Here is one example on youtube:

I chose to take the top off of an old drive but you don't have to but I find it easier to hotswap the discs with it open. Hope this helps. Oh yeah and the drive has to be a Dual Layer drive for it to work. For some reason people have a hard time understanding this.

You can also get an old Xbox 360 drive, wait for iXtreme 1.6 to be released, buy a connectivity kit and use that drive to rip games.
Or get a Samsung sh d162c, sh d162d, sh d163a or sh d163b off ebay, they are around 25 US$.
Or around 10 Euro on German ebay.

Kreon Firmware only works on Samsung sh d162c, sh d162d, sh d163a or sh d163b. And these aren't wildly available anymore due to not being produced anymore.
