i have everything i new to back up my original 360 games but cant get any program to work .. xbox back up creator see's the disk in the drive but the start button is blacked out and cant be hit .. schtrom says only xbox back up extraction is supported in this drive .. please help im running on vista ultimate my drive is samsung shd 162d with kerion firmware

make sure the correct drive is selected in xboxbackup creator,
there is a box at the top of the program that lets you change the drive that the progtam detects,the correct drive should be something like, tsstcorp dvd-rom sh-d162d ts05. make sure you select read tab and click on complete backup.

also make sure you 'unlock' the drive withing XBC, its under the drive tab. otherwise it will probably only show 5.32 MB instead of the 7.05 gigs.

hi thanks for the quick responce guys .. i have the right drive selected but still nothing the txt reads

Have you tried using Xbox Backup Creator 2.8? (instead of 2.6)

try to reinstall and yes get v 2.8 and try that.
