I have performed a search for this and can't find a definite answer.

Here is a link to information about the same issue I seem to be experiencing.

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/719427

I am using xwRipper to perform a backup and am receiving an error about:

Game partition CRC does not match, looks like a bad rip!

I've played "The Force Unleashed" all the way through without a single glitch using a rip that has the CRC error.

My Xbox 360 was banned before I got it so no worries there.

Now I know the possibility of not accessing every bit of data contained on the disc is likely and is why the rip appears to function exactly as an original.

But I just don't want to settle with incomplete-backups knowing they aren't perfect so to say as they fail the ABGX360 verification/auto-fix.

Is there something I am missing when using wxRipper?

I am using this tutorial:
http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=548840

Like I said ALL the backups run perfectly but always fail the CRC step of the ABGX360 verification.

Appreciate the help and input.

I agree that the Kreon drive is the best fail-safe route.

But I just can't believe the rip is failing due to CRC.

I was under the assumption that if any CRC details are wrong that the data in a whole would be corrupt.

Like the CRC on a .RAR file, if it fails the data is unreadable and you are unable to extract anything.

But the rips made with wxRipper play fine but fail an auto fix/verification.

Seems bogus, as if the CRC verification is flawed and reporting a Bad Rip for no reason.

But I will say a rip I have that was made with a Kreon doesn't fail the verification.

It's just irritating.

have u ever made any good rips with this same drive? if not then it could just be that drive does not like 360 games or is just messed up in general. if you have another drive laying around try it. I had several dvd drives and i was able to use 2 different drives to make good backups using wxripper and i have a 3rd that i think will work but have never tried.

If you send me questions on Live about modding or anything related i will block you. Dont be an idiot.

Current drive is a LG.

Burns perfectly and rips dvd movies fine.

I guess it may not like 360 games though.

I'll try another drive if I can find one.

If I get the same result I'll just have to get a Kreon I suppose.

Thanks for the input.
