Can i flash my 360 with my pc motherboard?

Hi i have been reading up on how to flash a 360 and that i need a correct sata motherboard

i have opened up my pc and seen that there are sata slots and above that there is a chip with "Ambios 686"

I got 2 questions
1) is this the name of my motherboard?
2) Can i flash my 360 with this motherboard

There is a list of compatible mother boards on the internet some where. But the only real way to know is try to the firmware with your SATA chipset. If it doesn't work, get a VIA 6421 SATA card.

Sorry, I made a typo in my first reply. I mean to say try and read the firmware. You can't hurt the drive if you are only trying to read the firmware. Unless you have a Lite-ON drive, you are going to need additional hardware to read the important info.
