Hey guys,
I have a friend who lost his password for xbox 360 LIVE account so he can't recover the account on any console.
Is there a way to recover the password.
Any help would be great.

Call microsoft up and if you provide all the information such as name address email use etc, they might let you change the password or tell you what it is.

yes you can change it if you know all the bs you had to put in when you signed up. phone #, address, mom's friends dog's name.

it is linked to windows live account so why dont u just use the password recovery feature associated with that?

So, just for a recap.
If he (my friend) follows that link and request a password reset, after he go through all the steps it will work when I enter the new pasword into another xbox 360 console?

yes it should cause the password for gamertag is actually the live password. recently i was playing and i got signed out with the message "someone has signed into your gamertag at another location" i freaked out and immediately signed back in and changed my password. this also changed the password of my live account it is linked too. So it should work the other way around too, as in if u change the password of the live account it will affect the gamertag also.
this is good to remember cause if someone hijacks your email address and changes the password of it you will lose access to ur gamertag as well
