Do original games also have the same security checks or how many waves are there usually, how big would the pool/ batch be ?
I modded my xbox 360 I have a scratched game that won't play and I want to download a copy.
I just don't want to have a copy that passes the checks but which microsoft knows that the keys are of a copy that has been circulating online the more.

game discs dont really have keys to track, each copy of the game is pretty much the same as long as it is from same region. if u just want to save ur game so u can play it in the future why dont u just use the NXE install to HDD option. it will make it so the game loads from the hdd rather than the disc and the disc will only be needed to verify u have the game. so i would either rent or borrow an unscratched copy and install it to ur HDD and then u can use ur scratched copy to play the game as it will only check the disc to make sure it is in the drive but not load anything from it. several ppl have done this to avoid buying another copy or worry about creating one.

yes as long as the copy you have and the copy comparing to were from the same region/ source

such as if you had a a coy of "Game-X" and it was USA region which is NTSC-U and u compared it to another copy of "Game-X" bought from same store and is all the same they would match completely. but if you had the same copy of "Game-X" and tried to compare it to another copy of the same game but from somewhere like Japan and it was region locked just for Japan then it could have different files. sometimes they are the same sometimes they arent. I hope that makes sense
